Headache Relief Through Chiropractic
According to the American Chiropractic Association 14% of the public who see chiropractors presently go for headaches. For these patients the good news has gotten even better. Researchers at Northwestern College of Chiropractic in Minnesota, compared chiropractic care to certain drug therapies used for tension and migraine headaches. The study, published in the Journal of Manipulative and Physiological Therapeutics, followed 218 headache sufferers who were given either chiropractic care or drug therapy or both. Pain was reduced 40-50% in all groups initially. However, four weeks after all care was stopped, only the chiropractic group still retained the benefits, while those who received the drug therapy lost about half of their improvement. The Doctors at Tri-County Clinic remind you that headache medications only cover up the problem and don’t get down to the cause.

Wiggle your fingers and toes…How did you do that? Your brain sent signals down your spinal cord telling your fingers and toes what to do. As a matter of fact all your motor function and movement is controlled by your nerve system, including balance and coordination. Actually, every function your body has is controlled and regulated by your nervous system. Your brain takes in all the information from the environment and sends out signals which trigger the appropriate responses in your body. As long as there is no interference to this system, the brain receives the correct signals, and in turn sends out the correct response. The result is a healthy human being. But if there is interference to this system that is where poor health starts. Chiropractic can help remove this interference from the nervous system restoring the healthy human being.
